The Federally protected Wasatch Mountain Range is filled with pristine beauty, incredible wildlife, and ecosystems that preserve the water we drink. The mountains offer us passage into the back-country and a release from the congestion of the city. From skiers to hikers we all love our mountains and want to protect them for generations to come so we can continue to live "life elevated."
Say "NO" to the Central Wasatch National Conservation and Recreation Area Act
Among other issues, the Central Wasatch National Conservation and Recreation Area Act would open the door for development on 600 acres of pristine land without addressing the existing transportation needs and further increasing congestion in the canyons. This would ease the ability for toll roads to be put in without public input. Land on the peeks of mountainous terrain would be traded for less used (and less expensive) foothills along Wasatch Blvd. Residents and tourists come from around the world to enjoy the Wasatch paradise; this trade does not give careful thought to the future use of our land.
